Nick says:My illustrations are produced using a cross-hatch technique with a black fine line pen. Layer upon layer of small ink lines are built up to create light and shade. It’s a very time consuming process. Over the last 3 years I have been experimenting with printmaking techniques. I’ve enjoyed this new approach as it has added a sense of unpredictability to the process of creating the work, an opportunity for ‘happy accidents’. It’s been an honour to work on one of my favourite ghost stories.”
